An upcoming bespoke tour company in Sri Lanka, Pristinepaths Ceylon takes immense pleasure and pride in showcasing our home to visitors from around the world. But our journey into travel didn’t start in the tourism industry—it started in the wards of a hospital.
We are Kuleesha and Gayanie, a husband-and-wife team and the founders of Pristinepaths Ceylon. As practicing doctors based at a teaching hospital in Sri Lanka, our daily lives are incredibly fast-paced, demanding, and highly structured. Years ago, we discovered that our greatest remedy for the pressures of medical life was stepping outside.
From hiking the mist-covered trails of the Southern Sri Lankan Highlands to exploring the hidden coastal corners of the South, travel became our way to decompress and reconnect. Over time, our weekend escapes turned into a deep, intimate knowledge of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful and untouched landscapes. We realized we didn’t just want to experience these places ourselves; we wanted to curate them for others.
